Doom / 둠

1993년 12월 10일 발매된 FPS 게임. 둠 시리즈의 첫 작품이다. 슈퍼 마리오 브라더스, 젤다의 전설, 하프라이프 등과 더불어 게임계 역사상 매우 커다란 영향을 끼친 게임 중 하나다. 2D 게임이나 매우 원시적인 3D 게임들이 주류였던 시절에 진보적이고 혁신적인 3D 그래픽을 선보이며 커다란 기술적인 충격을 주었으며, 네트워크 대전을 지원하여 멀티플레이의 대중화를 이끌었고 데스매치, 프랙(frag) 등 멀티플레이에서 쓰이는 기본적인 용어들은 둠에서 도입한 것이다
